The 2009 Santa Scramble 5k will be held on Saturday November 21 in downtown Concord. The race again will be part of the annual Concord Christmas Parade.Registration will take place at the Cabarrus County Sr. Center, 331 Corban Ave SE, Concord from 10:30 am until 1:00 pm (registration ends at 1 pm - no exceptions) inside the multi purpose room. Buses will begin transporting runners to the starting line at 12:00 noon. Pre-registered runners may pick up their registration packets during this time The race is the first entry in the annual parade and the race is run along the parade route with 15-20,000 people lining the streets. The route goes through the historic Concord downtown area and finishes at the Cabarrus County Sr. Center.The Concord Police Department will escort runners through town and will be stopping traffic at all intersections.
