Whether you’re a first-time duathlete or a hard-core competitor, there is something for everyone at the National Duathlon Festival! The downtown urban course is a proven crowd-pleaser having played host to the largest Duathlon field ever in the U.S. last year. Stay in a downtown hotel and walk to the transition area, restaurants, and shopping. The post-race tailgate party, on-course spectator party zone and vendor expo combined with great off-road and on-road racing provides for one awesome Du weekend!
Here is a chance for the duathlon community to once again showcase their sport. Last year's event boasted the largest Duathlon field ever in the U.S., which means even better things to come in 2010! You'll love the downtown Richmond environment and the European feel to the festival. You will be able to walk to the event from your downtown hotel. The on-road events' transition area, start and finish will all be within walking distance of New Market’s corporate headquarters at 2nd and Byrd streets in downtown Richmond, Virginia.
You do not have to qualify to compete. No drafting is allowed for any event.
There is a limit of 1,500 total participants for all of Sunday's races.
There will be a change in the first run distance for the On-Road Age Group National Championship this year. As a result of a decision by the USAT Duathlon Committee, the first run will be a 5k instead of a 10k. |
