50KM: Starting at the Pritchett Canyon entrance at Jackson Trail Parking Lot, participants will proceed up Pritchett Canyon Jeep Road (5.5 miles)The Pritchett Canyon is a spectacular canyon with walls varying from 200 feet to 300 feet on each side of the trail. You will wonder if you are not at the age of the dinasor or if suddently the time has gone back by 1,000 years. It is a weird feeling but it took me a while to get used to it once I was running in the canyon. It is very rugged and keeps climbing for about 500 feet until you reach a pass with spectacular views. This first section of 5.5 miles is extensively used by Jeep in the area and will consequently allow racers to spread out. We have no potential bottleneck effect here before reaching the first single track in the Hunter Canyon later on the course . Once at the top of the pass the Jeep road/Trail levels out somewhat and the pace will be a bit faster .Your first aid station will be located at a 4 corner intersection (.5.5 miles)where you will then head towards Hunter Canyon. Continuing on the Hunter canyon Trail you will soon reach the Hunter canyon Single track running on top of the Canyon with sheer drop of over 500 feet on your left hand side. You will progessively go down into the canyon until you reach the aid station # 2 . This section is absolutely spectacular for the next 1.3 miles connecting to Kane Creek Road where Aid station # 2 will be located.

THIS IS THE FIRST CUT OFF TIME OF 4 HOURS or 12.30 pm at mile 8.8. IF ANY OF THE 50KM ARE NOT HERE IN 4 HOURS OR 12.30 YOU WILL BE SENT TO THE FINISH LINE USING THE ROAD

While the 10 miler will go toward the finish line via the bottom of the canyon, the 20 miler will head in the opposite direction on the Kane creek road for approximately 1/2 mile to enter Hunter canyon trail for approximatley 1.5 miles into the canyon. We will have a punch available in to the canyon that you will be required to stamp your bib in order to prove us that you have indeed reach the turning point. You will then come back to the road to proceed on the kane creek road by taking a left This will be a water section only not a fully stock aid station. This is a in and out section. You will then make a sharp right turn into a sandy trail to the bottom of a massive wall. The next 1 miles, head up the “Scorched Earth Wall” jeep road toward Hurrah Pass, climb approximately 1000 feet with a view of the valley below on your left hand side once at the top you will then proceed downhill on Nellie's trail towards Amasa back/Cliff Hanger. You will then see the most unusual slickrock formation. From 1 foot wide crack to go through to amazing exposed slickrock section. You will have to remain calm as some of those section can be spooky. You will then reach aid station # 3 at the bottom of this section. From there you will proceed to Amasa back trail/cliff hanger. At the intersection of Nellie's trail and Amasa Back/Cliffhanger a marshal will be located there in order to re inforce the 2nd cut off.

IF YOU ARE NOT AT THIS INTERSECTION( mile 17.3) BY 4.00PM, YOU WILL THEN HAVE TO PROCEED ON AMASA BACK TRAIL BACK TO THE ROAD AS OPPOSE TO USE AMASA BACK TOWARDS JACKSON TRAIL AND YOU WILL BE FORCED TO DNF

This section has an amazing view of the Jackson hole with this surreal Potash factory at the bottom of the Valley on your left hand side. You will then reach the Jackson Trail single track with the view of the Colorado river on your left and the finish line in the distance. This is a beatifull single track all the way home

THE 50KM RUNNERS WILL HAVE TO BE AT ( MILE 20) BY 3.00 PM IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED ON THE 50KM COURSE.

The fun continues for the 50K runners! You will proceed up a short cliff using a rope to the top of a mesa on the south side of Kane Creek with slot canyons in site and views of the Colorado River. Then back to Kane Creek Road for a short 'break' on the pavement before ascending about 1000 feet up to the Moab Rim along a slickrock slab.

THE 50KM RUNNERS WILL HAVE TO BE HERE( MOAB RIM TRAILHEAD ) MILE 23 BY 4.00 IN ORDER TO BE ALLOWED TO PROCEED. IF NOT YOU WILL BE HEADING BACK TOWARDS THE FINISH LINE; 2 MILES AWAY

The next 5 miles is an out and back section before coming back down to the Moab Trailhead parking lot. Once this section done, you will be cruising on the pavement all the way home to the finish line at the kane creek parking lot/jackson trail parking lot( this section is probably the only flat section of the course)
