This is a brief description of my race:

First race w/ Power Meter. Wow, really makes pacing the bike easy. I got a zipp 808 w/ a powertap last fall. I really hated the powertap computer, so got a Garmin 705. Customized the display to show both current and average power and just kept the power dialed for the entire ride. I'm totally loving ANT+Sport. Obviously the garmin is paired w/ the hub, but I have it paired w/ my HR strap so I can see HR data on the garmin while on the bike. Here's the cool part though, the Timex Race Trainer is ANT+Sport compatible too, so I can simultaneously pair the watch w/ the same HR strap. Drop the bike off and then use the watch for HR data for the run. Super easy transition, all the data I need whereever I am. Too cool. Unfortunately, all the toys in the world, even when they help w/ pacing still don't do the training for you. I was pretty happy w/ my swim & run splits, but reviewing the data afterwards makes it clear I've got more work to do on the bike before the August races.
