This was a "A" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 4 out of 5.
Race Notes: The race started later than my usual training runs, and I struggled with what to eat before the race. I started having stomach cramps about 8 miles into the race, they never subsided. I was with the 3:20 pace group through the half marathon mark, approximately, but the stomach cramps were causing me trouble. I tried slowing my pace and walking through water stops to try to stretch my abdomen, but it didn't help. I walked mile 22 or 23. The 3:30 pace group passed. Then the 3:40 group approached, but I wasn't going to let them get away from me. I did qualify for Boston! However, I know I can run a better marathon. My training indicates that 3:30 would be easily within reach. The combination with eating improperly and going out to fast prevented that. Next time...

sore knees after yesterdays run... but not too bad, got the physio to show me how to strap them properly (I had a feeling I wasnt doing it right)... and sure enough, I wasnt! so all good now yesterday was really difficult - maybe it was the hot weather, I dont know, but I kept going through the 5k without stopping:)

This was a "C" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 1 out of 5.
Race Notes: I got one of the worst drafting penalties that I have ever seen. Just ridiculous. cost me first in age and dropped 8 places overall. Absolutely ridiculous, I argued and this USAT official should be fired.

Race Notes: Swim was so long. I desperately need to improve technique. Even tried swimming fast and was still getting passed.
Bike hurt, my butt was numb.
Run destroyed DESTROYED me. Pat found me at the finish, and I was toast.
