March 7th and 8th: Our century ride will be a remote start in Ventura. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I can hear it now, "but the Solvang Century is the next weekend". With the iffy weather during this time of the year and the higher entry fees, our century weekend will be a real bargain and it's a lot closer. Our Saturday rides will kick off at 8 AM and will have a very challenging century. This one will have around 7500 feet of elevation gain covering such climbs as Dennison Pass, Casitas Pass to name a couple. The Metric will have around 3500 feet of gain covering some of the same roads as the century, while the 50 and 34 milers will be mostly flat. This is one of the most gorgeous areas to ride and those who come will not be disappointed. Saturday evening will have an OCRR family dinner at one of the local Italian restaurants followed on Sunday by a ride to the Ojai Cafe for coffee and sticky buns before heading back to Orange County.
