Chris McCormack - 1st
Faris Al-Sultan - 2nd
Eneko Llanos - 3rd.
Would really like to see Cam Brown get up and have an awesome race, I'm not keen to jinx it though.
Girls:
Mark Allen made an interesting comment about Chrissie Wellington in an interview recently that made a lot of sense to me. I don't pretend to know anything about what it takes to win in Kona, but I think he might. On that note I'm picking a surprise to come from somewhere.
Belinda Granger - 1st
Natascha Badmann - 2nd (if Badmann ends up not racing my pick for second is Yvonne Van Vlerken).
Joanna Lawn - 3rd

The Chrissinator - no idea what Allen said but its just a race and she'll dominate from start to finish (no pressure)
Yvonne Van Vlerken - to take 2nd on the run from...
Belinda Granger - who'll maybe end up pacing Chrissie on the bike if they can form a 2 girl TBB pack.
Bella to make the top 5
I think the guys will go with the numbers
Macca - just think he's be on fire all year and wants it the most
Craig Alexander
Torbjorn Sindballe
There's too many strong bikers to let Faris or Stadler get away more than 5 minutes from the bunch and although Normann can run, he's not quick enough to keep Macca or Alexander from passing him.

Men - Alexander held back last year as it was his first raced IM this year he will run 2:40 and win. Chris may not be as hungry given he won last year. Norman can run with Alexander or Macca. Potts should lead out of the swim and is still pissed about not makng the Olympics so watch out
1-Craig Alexander
2 -Chris McCormack
3-Andy Potts
Women - Chrissie has won everything all year long and unless she suffers the Kona meltdown she should win by a lot. Desiree has had some tough times but should be able to run well given her focus earlier in the year - she run 3:05 to get second but not sub 3 hr that Chrissie will run. Kate hits #3 per usual.
1-Chrissie Wellington
2-Desiree Ficker
3-Kate Major

Norman may be able to run with Macca or Alexander but he won't! He'll be fortunate to come within 10 minutes of either. As Macca says, when you rile ze Germans... they crumble.

It will take a sub 3 hour marathon for the women's title and a sub 2:42 marathon for the men. Whomever runs that fast will win. I say Alexander and Wellington.
