Practicing despite how you feel
Hard to run days!
On Wed, 1 Sep, 2008 I was planning to do my usual 2 workouts. I began the morning by running a solid 12miles most of it on a softer surface. Around mile 8 though, I had to stop because apparently there is such a thing called eating too much. I load up a lot of Carbs and proteins the night before my long run workouts. Anyway, I finished my morning run I was pretty happy about it, though it was surpringly cold and I was NOT dressed to the weather.
Later on yesterday I went to the track to do some 800m reps. I was VERY frustrated because i was not hitting my goal, which was 2:10. My legs were amazingly heavy. I wanted to give up running in general during my workout. I kept telling myself "who are you kidding Ermias, you should just give up running." I was really upset so I stopped doing the 800m reps and instead I started doing some stregth workouts such as step ups, the whole gilidi thing (a, b, and c skips, high knees, butt kicks, etc) I was happy by that workout actually.
I discovered something though, I MUST work on my flexibility...my hammi is out of control, and my t band is tighter than ever! So yeah I am pretty much screwed!
