Third mile was even slower. The course was pretty hilly for me. I tried to keep up a consistent effort through the whole race and thought I might actually make my goal of 31:00. The hills just tired me out, however. Plus it was wet and slippery outside. I can't be too disappointed in my performance, though. I tried as hard as I could and know that I would have made my goal on a flatter course.

I did a better job of keeping up a consistent effort throughout the entire race than I did during my last 5k.
