Boston Marathon 2006 or at least what I can remember
Boston Marathon 2006 or at least what I can remember
Well the night before I knew I was in some trouble but it wasn't until the morning that I knew how bad it was. I woke up and my temperature at it's lowest was 102 degrees. My whole body hurt when you touched me it felt like you were bruising me. Well it was Boston we didn't drive here for nothing. Well my dad had decided that if we were going to do it then we needed to do it easy. But of course I wouldn't listen to that. I took off running around I think a 1:3?:?? some half marathon way to fast for how I felt. And believe me I felt miserable without the running. Well then bam I am not sure when it happened but I died. Dad was out near the 16 mile mark and the lady beside him had this phone that tracked my progress so he knew when to look for me. Well I found him and stopped. I taked to him for awhile he wanted me just to quit but I wasn't sure. My body wantd to quit. So well we called my mom back in Ohio like she could do anything, and then I made my decision I didn't care how bad it was I wanted my medal. So eventually I finished in 3:4?:?? I don't remember I didn't care. I had to walk to my bus to get my clothes and stuff well my bus was almost the furthest away. At this point I was so sick I couldn't walk anymore. I fell to the ground and layed there for almost an hour. Then I got up because I knew I needed to find dad. Well 30 minutes later so 1:30 after I finished we found each other. We walked to find the subway (or whatever they call it there) and we asked a guy and he told us to go this way so we went. Well we didn't find anything so we asked another guy and he said we had to go all the way back where we came from plus 2 more block. I stopped I started to cry i couldn't move anymore. That is all I remember. I don't remember heartbreak hill. I don't remember the finish area. I don't remember much of the race the only thing I remember is that it was a bad experience and I don't think I want to go back.
