I have raced in this local event for the past 4 years and enjoy it everytime

Pre-race meal:
no breakfast, ate at sanfords night before. This place sucks for pre-race food if you are looking for gluten free options.
How well did you sleep the night before the race?
Fair

cool dark room but dinner wasnt settling too well

2 minutes of swimming
Race Details - Swim:
600 meters in sloans...ewww sloans ;-) the water was clean enough and warm. glad it was a short swim or i wouldve ditched the wetsuit. Going last in a time trial start meant having to swim over and around most of the field.
Race Details - T1:
long run to transition area, but plenty of room in transition to move and run with bike
Race Details - Bike:
good ol wyoming wind. fast out, slower back. turn around was a bottom of hill. left a few unprepared bikers struggling to drop gears on ascent
Race Details - T2:
fast enough. heard horror stories later about dismounts going poorly as a result of grabbing too much with the left hand. ouch
Race Details - Run:
because of tt start I never knew who i was racing so I decided not to let up until i passed everyone. I slowed a little after passing who i thought was the last racer but unknown to me Ric Rosenkranz was still ahead. Still won but only by a minute
