First team practice of the season this morning. We went on a country run and I ended up running 9 miles. It was really nice and cool outside during the run. I am going to try to do upper body lifts before lunch today as well.

I'm in the laying low stage so that I don't peak too early and don't get injured before the season even starts! I ran an easy 5 miles at our local golf course. Running on a soft surface felt good for a change!

Ran another 9 miles this afternoon. Finished it in 55 minutes. The sun felt really hot today, but it's good to train in to get used to it. X-C practice officially starts this Monday for everyone in the state.

Went for a distance run at a competetive pace - 9 miles at a 6:15.00 mile pace. I also did a 1 hour pilates session in Sioux Falls - this really works the core muscles.

That 5 miles this morning really didn't seem to do the trick! My legs felt great so I ran a 5 mile tempo run before lunch, my legs felt great and the hi for today is 75!! too bad everyday can't feel this good...
