Ran about 7 miles this morning in total with warm up. It was about a 50 minute run, but I felt really tired. I guess It doesn't help that I'm working about 45+ hours in a week now. But I guess it will all fall into place.

Went on an exploratory run, with my high school team, ended up only being close to 7 miles, but with my mile warm up, I got the mileage in. The run was in the mountains by my old high school, mainly through fire roads and random trails.

First 55 minute run in a while now, felt pretty good, other than the fact that it was getting very hot fast! Already 85 at almost 11am and only going to get hotter! Still have some soreness in my knees, but that was expected since I don't have nice trails to run on anymore.

Ran 11 today, felt pretty good. I was kind of in a rush to head back home, due to grandparents taking us out. Got hot during the run, and was already 80 by 8 in the morning when I finished.

13 this morning with a friend. We went around 7 this morning before the air quality got way too bad. Fires are burning south from my house so by 8 or 9 the air is terrible already! It was a really hard 13 though, very hilly but luckily all trail and no concrete.

First long run after the half, felt relatively good. It was just too hot to really be enjoyed however. Took me 69 minutes to complete, I guess I was somewhat pushing the pace on the way back, but I just wanted to get out of that heat!

Well, the race went as expected, it was hot and very dry tonight, but I can't complain. I ran a PR on the course (16:10) and I can't say I'm too disappointed. Now I just gotta focus on running more consistently and getting out of my slump.

Ran an easy 8 this morning before it got too hot! It's already 100 degrees and it's not even noon yet! But felt really good. I tested out some new shoes for AVIA today, and I thought they were alright, but not necessarily what I'm looking for in a trainer.

Did somewhat of a ladder fartlek out on the trails by my house. 4,3,2,1 then 3,2,1, then 2,1, and finally 1. All recovery was 1 to 1 so 4 on 4 off, 3 on 3 off, etc... ran about 7 today with warmup and everything. Feeling a little tired but getting back into shape.

Woke up @ 5:30 this morning to get my workout out of the way due to the fact that I'm working all day today. Warmed up for about 20 mins. w/ drills. Then, ran a 3 mile progression cut down, to prepare for thursday's final XC series race. 5:56, 5:47, 5:15. Got tough towards the end, but pulled through. Running and easy 4 tonight after work.

Today I kind of slacked off a lot. I had work today and had to take my little sister to school, so I had to run after work. And since I did it with my cousin I only ran 20 mins. Very, very, slowly.... probably only 2.5 miles today. Very disappointing!

Did my first circuit workout of the year. 10x 400's @ 73-74, between each interval, did a series of active recovery drills and plyometrics. It was tough, but felt good to get some sort of speed in. Need to enjoy this last week of training, because going to Costa Rica next week = little to no training :-/

Ran a hard 8 today, only reason it was hard was because it was really smoky again and the air was terrible, but I had to run. I couldn't stand not doing anything. So other than a stupid cough I have now the run felt pretty good. Now to work!
