ran 3.5miles last night.. felt good. Good run, though it's getting dark earlier, and cooler in the evening.. Also, the racing bug is biting.. Looks like the Chicago Marathon is going to be a Rock 'N Roll event next year. Already looking forward to running the Country Music 1/2 again, so now I really want to run Chicago to get one of the rock-star medals!

The Catigny 5k was a fun race. Great weather (especially considering it's November in Chicago) for race day! The run was very pretty, though the path was a little congested at the start. I finished with a time that i'm proud of, and that will give me a good goal to beat for the next 5k!

Been keeping up the training runs.. 5k the other day felt good. Went to the new RoadRunnerSports store that opened near us this weekend.. bought a new pair of inserts for my shoes. looking forward to running in them. While I was there I went through the stride analysis that they do.. good stuff with the pressure sensitve plate, and the video analysis of your stride on the treadmill.. the verdict: Mid-to-High arches with horrid overpronation in my right foot (boy was that ugly to see in slo-mo)

Whew, getting back in to shape after a long running draught is hard! Ran 3 miles yesterday, did it at a good pace, but based on the tightness this morning, I'm guessing I should've backed it off a little.

Alright, I'm all signed up for the half-marathon at the Flying Pig in Cinicinnati ((Click for the Link ...) on May 3rd. For this half, I've printed off a training program from NikePlus.com instead of using the smart coach from the RunnersWorld website (like I used last year for the CMM). This program runs 12 weeks, and seems pretty similar to the one I used last year. Three runs a week, (sometimes 4) with a long run on Saturdays. Should be pretty good.

Training is progressing well. I ran a 10-mile training run this past Saturday and it went very well. I have 6-6-11 this week. I plan on doing today's 6 miles on the treadmill with the incline set up to 2.5-3.0 as I prepare for the hills in Cinci for the Flying Pig.

I recently printed off a training program (from NikePlus.com). I wanted to have a plan to keep me motivated to run through the cold winter months, while I have no upcoming race to keep me motivated. Something about having a piece of paper telling me I have to run today keeps me a bit more motivated. I missed my scheduled weekend run, so I made it up on Monday. So now I'm paying for back-to-back 4 mile runs.. whew
