WDYDT for Saturday, April 18, 2009
I ran the Ybor City Run for Shelter 5K last night. I ran it in 21.18 which is a 6.46 pace according to my Garmin 305. I started out too fast, I was trying to keep up with the front group made up mostly of 6 min/mile runners, and I struggled to get into a pace. I ran the first quarter mile at a +/- 5:45 pace, I came around mile one at 6:36, but I started losing pace after that. My AVG speed was 8.8 MPH which is right at lactate threshold for me. Max Speed was 12.5 MPH.

WDYDT for Tuesday, April 28, 2009
St. Anthony's didn't go so well! First, the swim was canceled. Then, my front tire went flat in the transition area prior to the bike portion of the race. When my wave was up, I ran into transition, best T1 ever, I grabbed my bike, I got out of transition, but I did not realize my front tire was flat. I rode the first 60 to 80 yards, still not knowing the front tire was flat, and I crashed on the very first turn. Race over. The goods news is we are both okay. Me and the bike!!!

WDYDT for Tuesday, July 21, 2009
I rode 26 miles this morning with five 4 minutes intervals at AT. It felt pretty good, but it was nothing compared to Lance's acceleration up the "Col du petit st. Bernard" during today's stage at the Tour de France. You know what they say "The hotter the heat, the stronger the steel"!
