Started back in tri in 2007 - following a trip to Australia - at which I saw my mates compete in IMWA. I was totally inspired by the whole event and its competitors.
In 2007 I targeted a 70.3 plus a marathon. I achieved both of these at Germany 70.3 and the Milan marathon.
The plan for 2008 was to continue to build on this development - so I did Barcelona Marathon in March (settng a new PB of 3.36) and a half IM distance tri in Weymouth, England (new PB at 5.46).
Berlin Marathon is the next race n September 2008 - aiming for 3.30.
I've already entered two IM distances races for 2009 - Roth and the new Challenge race in Barcelona.
I'm loving see the development of mind & body through the focused training that this sport demands.
I've already made some good friends - who are like-minded- and provide great support.
I love the whole lifestyle of healthy living and making the most of what I was born with.
I'm not the greatest athlete in the world - but I will make the most of what I have been granted. A healthy body & mind are gifts which we should all cherish and make the most of. Not to do so would be to waste the gift.

AM - 3.6K swim.
PM - 3 hour ride, 50 mile, ave. 16.2mph, ave HR 121bpm, legs hurt but pleased with getting the miles in as really windy conditions.

AM - 4.2k swim - a great session with long sets. Swam a lot better than the last few sessions - pleased with technique.
PM - Pilates. 2nd class of the week - really feeling the benefit. Did miss planned run - due to heavy legs and wishing to clear chest congestion.

90 mins of stretching and Pilates. Love Pilates, perfect class for triathletes. Pleased with todays work & the congestion on my chest seems to be clearing....
