Training is going well again. Havnt ran too much mileage but should be in the mid 40's this week. I feel like ive gotten back to where i was before sickness/injury. Conference is next weekend. Goal is to make the top 7 for the national team, if we make it. I think we will though. The team is fit and focused and we know what needs to be done. Im excited!!

Havnt posted in awhile. Running has been going well. Feel pretty fit. Ran in Boulder, CO at the Rocky Mountain shoot-out. Got beaten pretty bad. And now, I have a bad pain in my foot thats gotten worse over the last week. Its to the point where I can hardly walk. Gonna set up either an mri, or a bone scan today to see if I have a stress fracture or not. Really a bummer. Especially since were going to california in 2 weeks and some big D1 schools like stanford are going to be there.

Ran an 8k at the Woody Greeno Invite in Lincoln, Nebraska last weekend. Was running really well up until about 5-5.5k, and the little blisters that I had turned pretty much unbearable to run on. The last couple miles was like a steady run. Finished in 28:04. Was on pace to run in the 26:40 range. Had to get carried to the med tent and get all bandaged up. Couldnt walk for 2 days. Spikes are covered in blood, which looks kinda sweet.

First 8k today. Course was rough---raining, super muddy and some hills in Rapid City. Horrible footing. Ran a 27:56 for 12th place out of about 85 runners. Pretty happy with it, considering the conditions and my legs are not exactly fresh at this point in the season. It was a painfull race, thats for sure!

2 mile WU, 10k of threshold track work at about 5:20 pace. That 10k also included 6x200's in 34 seconds. Mile cooldown on grass. Did a new weight routine that we started doing.

Easy 80 minutes out on the mick trail near Sugarloaf and Kirk Rd. Highest elevation was at about 6,200 feet. Legs felt good, but quads are shot now from going down hill for over an hour. Iced in the creek afterwards.

Easy 7 miles in 49:34. Ran out on Chicken Creek Road north of town. Somewhat Hilly. Had an awesome view of the Black Hills. Legs felt a lot bettter than yesterday. Iced in the creek behind Steel's place and then he had us over for a roast he cooked. Pretty Tasty!!

2 mile WU, 4 mile tempo, and a mile cool down. Ran on the road where we are going to have our first meet/time trial. Splits were 5:43, 5:41, 5:38, 6:11. First two miles uphill. Legs felt OK, but were a little tired from yesterday. I pushed a little hard up hill and In then end I think it caught up with me. Last 2 miles were tough, especiallly the last. I was a little dehyrdated and I dont think Im fully acclimated to the altitude yet.

12 mile day. Ran an easy 4 this morning with the guys followed by 12x100 meter strides at 85%. This afternoon we did a warm up on the bridge loop followed by drills and 50m jog, 50m stride, 50m sprint for 2 laps. Then did 10x400( 69, then the rest in 70) Followed by a cooldown barefoot on grass, and stretching. Iced in Spearfish Creek for about 15 minutes also.

Drove about 2 miles out of town to Higgin's Gulch. Ran 32 minutes out, all up hill. Came back in about 30 minutes. About 9 miles. Had a solid week of 64 miles and that was with a day off.
