6 miles...
I tried out the Spibelt, which is essentially, a fanny pack.
How in the hell did I get suckered into this?!?

I ran 6 miles, despite still feeling under the weather. I picked up the new Asics 2140 the other day and tried them out tonight. The 2130s gave me an arch blister, but these seem to be holding up fine in that area. I'm still getting some lateral pain in my foot, though; I'll try another pair of OTC orthotics tomorrow. If that still doesn't work out, I'll make an appt to see a sports podiatrist and get their thoughts.

13.1 miles...
FINALLY! All my culmination of training has paid off. My official time, 2:11:39, is a new PR, and 8 min off from last year. The problem now is, my right foot (which has never given me trouble), is now injured. I'm hobbling; it may be PF. My shins were screaming during the first two miles. I didn't think I was going to make it, but the pain subsided. My knee was bothering me the day before, but not once did it bother me during the run. All in all, it was a decent race.

I held up well on my 10 mile run, but I can tell my left knee won't be feeling too hot on race day. My shoes will need to replaced afterwards ASAP. So far, the weather is looking great for race day.
I didn't realize the US Half was today. I experience races as a participant, not a spectator, so it was interesting being on the other side for a change. But I'm glad I was finishing my last mile headed the other direction, otherwise, I would've been trampled over and run right into the ground.

After three days of rest, I did a hard four miles tonight. It was still warm out; I ran faster than I probably should've; and I struggled with PF the whole time. My mileage has decreased dramatically. I was to hit my highest of 43 miles this week, but I'll be lucky if I can manage 25. In other news, I'm glad the rightful winner of the Nike Women's Marathon won: (Click for the Link ...)

It's our Indian Summer, and I was determined to make it to the beach this week, whether I biked or ran. I did the 10K out there, and it was so refreshing to run during the day for a change. The majority of my focus was still on my foot, and I was tempted to cut the run short. But reaching the ocean was the reward, even though I forget how damn cold the water is. That's NorCal beaches, for ya.

I went for a bike ride for the first time since picking it up over two weeks ago. It's quick, but definitely needs a new saddle.
I have a bum left foot and sore leg muscle since doing a 13 mile run on Mon. There are three weeks left. As much as I hate to, I think it would behoove me to cut my mileage to heal. I'm going out of town this weekend, so that should make it a lot easier to take a break.
