Frank Eeckman

I am not what you would call a natural athlete. I started quite late in my mid 30s. For a while I bicycled a lot but not very competitively. Then I took another 5 year break. It wasn't until 2003 that I decided to start competing for real. It took me a while to work through the issues, but I feel I got a good grip on things now. I am still improving, both in relative and in absolute terms, despite what some would call my "advanced" age. I just completed a manuscript that details what I have learned in the past 5 years. So far, I have not found a publisher, although I have gotten excellent reviews. My goals are a 3:15 marathon, an 11 hr ironman, and to place in an endurance mountain bike event.
