WD YDT (What did you do today?) |

WDYDT for Thursday, August 21, 2008
Lunchtime swimset: 335, drills, 3-7-3 ladder, N play, 3x100 off 30 seconds - about 1150m in all. Shoulder ached a bit but didn't give me any real problems. In no shape whatsoever to attempt Candy's swim leg regardless of any other issues!

WDYDT for Wednesday, August 20, 2008
Run home - circa +7km in about 44 minutes. I'm so slow! But HR was much easier to control this time. Minor shin/calf and foot niggles around 2-3km but ran through without real issue.

Run into work. 26 minutes. Not much further than 4km, morning runs seem to make my shins/calves hurt more than later in the day. Is this lack of warm up?

Another lunchtime run into Chelsea Hospital Grounds. Short 5.2km, slow 32 minutes, HR under more control - until the end. I must never get this out of shape again. EVER.

WDYDT for Tuesday, August 5, 2008
Back in the pool at lunchtime. Full of people, may have to find another time of day for this. Kept it light: warm up; short ladder 3-5; breath play 335; some n play, and; a little hip, shoulder, head. Probably no more than 22 lengths but didn;t want to overdo it! Back was getting a little tired, shoulder felt slightly weak but not painful. No bad reaction yet.

WDYDT for Monday, August 4, 2008
First training day back after a year of "retirement" due the disaster of last year's Vitruvian. Lets see how long I keep it up.... short run, 4.8km at lunchtime effectively around the block, 28 minutes, tried and failed to keep HR under control, hurt much more than it should have!
