WDYDT for Sunday, October 19, 2008 WELL, I made it, it wasnt pretty but I survived my first half marathon with a time of 1:46:37 - alittle more than I should have done, but well ahead of my target. As many have told me, the finish is the hard part and they were right. Things started hurting at miles 11 and 12, my right knee. but I struggled on! I think my last mile was in excess of 10 minutes, yuck. My body is sore, really sore, the pain areas have been iced up and are starting to feel better, but I am not sure there is enuff ice

Way to go. You're not giving yourself enough credit for all the base miles you've built up. Keep enjoying the half! It's always a great race. Beside, the beer taste better the longer you run! EM
