J Red Tripp
Started running in 2006 at age 35 through work wellness committee, then I just went nuts. In 2007 I started doing Triathlons. I'm pretty good at it. Only wish I had started when I was younger and spry(er). Entered my first 1/2 Iron in October. Wanted to do it in under 6 hours, but figured I'd do it in about 6:05. Blew the doors in with 05:55:04. Entered my first marathon in 2008 at age 38 - still shoot for the sub 4:00 at 40 yo.

Ran 4 miles before spin class this morning. Prolly should have done some core exercises. Spin kicked my butt.

Ran a 24:58 5k last night, then got home and ran the dog a fast mile (poor boy so wanted to run), then had a night of cat drama and missed my morning workout.

WDYDT for Sunday, June 28, 2009
Ran about 9 miles this morning. Took the dog out for three (his max in this heat) then went out for another 6 after bringing him home. Dang it is hot. Felt good during most of the race, but started feeling tired during the last two miles, not out of breathe, just tired. Which would indicate that I shoulda brought a gel or something esle to eat. It's all good, it was just an acclimating (to the heat) training run.
