At the indoor tri you can do any order and rest between activities. Thanks.

Great job! I'll have to ramp up my training to catch you! :o). So was the tri in the order you listed?

Congrats on your 10K. I'm not quite there yet, but I am qualified for 1b. So did you do both on the same day?
Original Message:
10K was 49:59 on the money. The indoor tri, I got 22:15 on the 3 mile run a 4:12 on the 250 meter swim where I bonked. and then a 21 or 22 on the bike, I don't quite remember. for a 47 and change.

How did it go? I know you first mentioned the sprint tri, but I guess you did the 10K instead? My dad had mentioned to me about doing brick workouts. I plan to start next week. So you're planning for a full tri in November? I'm going to see how the half goes before committing to a full. I'd like to do it though. Goggles under the swim cap? I guess you're referring to my tri experience back in 2006. Not funny! :->

I understand that. I am training for The Gulf Coast Triathlon in May. Then Ironman Florida in Nov. I am doing all kinds of endurance events too. I am doing about the same except without swimming. I will be at the tri the parks in Carrolton. I am on a team now out of Golds in McDonough. The RNR has tough hills, I hear and also tanner has some long hills. So be prepared to stand up on the pedals. Also, make sure your googles are on under your swim cap. LOL
You may want to practice brick workouts. Brick Workout (put your bike on a trainer and pedal easy for 5 minutes to warm up, then work hard to pump up your thighs. Then get off and immediately run 400 to 800 meters. Then do it over again and again.then cool down with 5 minutes easy)
I am shooting to break 50 minutes tomorrow at the Chattahoochee Road Runners 10K, to qualify 1A for the Peachtree.
Good Luck and have a good one.

Hi Rico,
Good to hear from you! I appreciate the invite, but I have a soccer game Sunday, so Saturday is an easy training day for me. I'm training for the Rock-n-Roll Half Iron Man in Macon May 31, and plan to do the Tri the Parks Triathlon in Carrollton in April. My weekly training is currently up to 2 1/2 miles swimming, 75 miles biking, 16 miles running (8 mile long run), and 2 workouts with weights. So how's yours?
