I ran Cross Country and Track & Field at Hanford High School in Richland, WA, 1995-1999. I then ran XC & Track at Northwest College in Kirkland, WA, 1999-2000. I continued my collegiate career at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA, 2000-2004. Since, I have been a casual runner, but stay in fairly good road-race shape. I coached Cross Country and Track & Field at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA in 05-06. I am now working on finishing graduate school at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN.

Hey Melanie, I do like some of the features on this site. It automatically posted my results, you can add own results and races. Has a calendar for your upcoming races. Decent search for other atheletes in the area. So anyways, talk to you soon.

Went out for a lovely six mile run today on Birchmont. It was very nice. It seemed to go by pretty quick. It was in the mid-60s. Hardly any wind. People out doing Memorial Day weekend sort of things. I also felt better as the run went along. Felt a bit rusty and awkward for the first little, but by the end felt better and felt like I was getting faster.

2.5 miles (21:17) inc. 4 x hills

I did a little bit of a hill workout today on the Irvine Ave. bridge over the train tracks. I had enough mileage to spend on two times going up and down then two more times just going up. Between the hill intervals, I just rested, walking, for a couple minutes. I had a pretty good workout. I felt like I worked really hard going up, so it was good.

This took place on 5/23.

I had a pretty normal 4 mile run today. My right achilles seems maybe a little edgy, but maybe that's from wearing high heels for work today. I don't intend to let that go anywhere.

Being that I had only done that hard track workout about 14 hours earlier, I was pleased with how good I felt. This was a good little recovery run.
