Race Notes: Race without orthotics, this truly shows to me that they were hindering me. while not anywhere near a PR, I felt good the entire race, did not need pain relievers for my legs at the end. Having a little trouble with shin splints now that I'm back on my toes, but still, I'm pleased!

Race Notes: Had a pinched nerve in my neck and have been trying to get it fixed. Tried to run without irritating it too much!

Race Notes: I had run the half the day before and coming off a nueroma in my foot. I tried to keep up with a 3:40 pace group, did for the first 10 miles, but it was soooo hot and humid. I mean HOT (79 degrees and 90% humidity). Anyway, still the funnest race I ever ran.

Race Notes: I was still worried about aggravating the nueroma in my foot, and because I was running the marathon the next day, I was very conservative. very.

Race Notes: This race was supposed to be a 10k, but the course was short, so they now officially call it an 8k. Only I didn't run it thinking it was an 8k until I turned a corner and there was the finish. Typical race by racepacket.

Race Notes: I got a nueroma in my foot the week before the race, I still have no idea from what. I was okay in the race until we went off road on very softly packed mulch and that really irritated my foot. I grabbed a bunch of advil at the next medical center and just tried to finish. I did, but about 10 steps over the finish line I couldn't put any weight on my foot. They had to take me to the medical tent in a stretcher. How pathetic! :) They told me there it was a stress fracture, and it felt like it. However, when I got home it started to feel better and the toes kept going numb, I determined it was just a nueroma. (which by the way, is very painful) A week before I ran the Goofy Challenge, I got a cortisone injection and that finally made the nueroma disappear for good.

Race Notes: This race was run on the old course which was just up and down very steep hills in Loudoun. I remember about mile 9 going when do the hills end and the person next to me laughed and said never.

Race Notes: I had a stress fracture a year before, was put in a cast and was unable to run without pain in my shin from November 2000 until about 2 weeks before this race. I ran the fastest pace I ever had for even a 10k. I was shocked and amazed and have no idea where that came from, but this race marked a big improvement in my running.

Race Notes: What a hilly course! Very organized! Very hard!

Race Notes: After running Disney in January, I hadn't run more than 11 miles before running Boston. I did run two 3 hour pool runs, but that's not quite the same. It was enjoyable, as I was hoping just to be able to finish.
