So...this time it's a WALKable-to 5K; even to changeout from my cold & sweaty clothes after: Started @ bandshell, got hung-up for a sec @ first corner; then dusted Fasc & I'm takin it EZ down to the beach, 1st mi-7:20;to circle condo-lot & around our training route backwards to speed up hills I been practising well acoupla wks & sped past a cutie on the park-path to finish okay for an OLD guy I thought in 23:40 til I find myself beaten by 8 others !!!

Woke@3a&dint fall asleep til too LATE so I hadta rush for our Sat morning same-old 'cept 10%THIS time sose we prep fo half-mari 6 months early...then we'll need MANY cut-back days to keep THINGS cool; but THIS race is the biggie: overnight after all-day drive to INDY&go around the SPEEDWAY...though THIS time Fasc got NO energy(Shoulda brought MORE clif-shots!)from installing kitchen cabinets Dennis told me. I say he MIGHT finally get SOME: although maybe like BAILOUT&plan takes 2-4 yrs kick-in!

Jayne's unemployment check's on its way which inspires me to have MY way w/Hill-SPEED(Tempo?)@about 5-6a after I told her to get me drunk someday...62d but CHILLY so I dress WARM to make sure & burn off my clif-shot...3/4speed 1st time<:10 with 50sec hill & >:10 2nd w/55 hill; then 5minute jog to cool...saw 'super' near end (Another CUTIE!).

Me&Dennis THERE :10early w/ Fasc typicly :5late(sneakin suspicion 'ball&chain' involved)she 'sposta FAST tonite! So bfo he do Wendy's, we do a fast-fo-me sometimes & dennis calls Farlek, :33on flat to OLD & back 'cuz we REALLY needed the rain-suits tonight...pretty COOL; yet around 60d.s&dint let my hood down fo hat to blow away; therefore, gotta wash a sweaty t-shirt. When we finally drug back to the cannon &I did another shot-block fo rec, we walk fountain&back fo me do SQUATS-maybe good ???

Finished bfor6:30am-57d: WINDY! Wore turtleneck&2yr ago HUGE mini-marathon T-shirt, 'way WARMER near lake; yet REALLY windy&chilly walkin COOL-down...goin fer :35 to round-number my calendar which I caught ablock after the clock...lyin awake nearly ALL night in anticipation(Gonna hafta INCLUDE this into program for races!); but I'll sleep good 2 nights w/ the GUYS-run Tues. night & NO beer for SO long which more or less coincides with Jayne's wishes to play Homer Simpson's kid...Ha, ha, ha !!!

ROAD w/Dennis bfo9am to route up Rocky Gap hill-some hard breathing; yet ascent @end of 1st clif-sot, felt COOL anticipating NEXT 1 ontop HILL encouraging...so HE cookin & I'm coastin down to road construction for us to hop blockade w/ my grumble up hill & over bridge back to cannon(hadta go alot further, I suppose our pace MUC H faster w/out Fasc); although his burst-out in the beginnings usually sets the pace well bfo he dies & we gotta turn around to go back & pick him up again-near 10K@:60!

Up&OUT after 6:30am; got behind JAIL & back whenI hadta stop & clench-off BAGEL-day yesterday after which I walk to THAT PLACEect: then down stairway to the train station & I'm off again for :25 THIS time! Feeling SOME twinges of overtraining still I guess from comin' outa IAMCAM wrong; so slowed pace alittle to concentrate upon FORM & time for NEW shoes...& JAYNE's wonder-ful banana bread !!! (temp=mid-50's, windy: CHILLY) Must be CHANGE-of-SEASON thing 'cuz I gotta INTENSE upper-hip pain !!!

Well...1st of ALL, Fasc only gots :30; so we walk w/ other smartie who's cool about it & they yackin, "Where to?". On IAMCAM tour from Saturday's race; then we pick IT up & turn right down to the beach. We copied ALMOST entirely & I finish 0:15 more for ME; yet to hell wifit...Fasc gotta JOG another :05 to use up all HIS time & we walkin' IT off 'til we reach his 'ball & chain' for us to quickly figger we got plenty of TIME to decide upon the weekend (When they go far away to football game!).

Those hot dog buns musta been 'way stale; 'cuz they come shootin out like shotgun bullets down the hill to the river when I hit DEAD stop...but the coaltrain's LONG & STILL foggy dark, so I walk to wipe & sweat PROFUSELY that I don't REALLY care cuz I gotta CONCENTRATE then upon SPECIALIZATION so my stride's pretty smooth w/ the NATURAL lube from train station to ped-bridge & back in:21 & don't hafta stop for the bus while attempting to graduate into 'forefoot'. About 60 degreee & so humid-BITE
