Todd Shoemaker

I've been a triathlete since 1999. The very first Ironman USA was my third tri ever, and since then I've completed 6 additional Ironman races. Lake Placid twice, Arizona twice, Wisconsin, Florida, and the one Ironman California. Overall, Wisconsin is the best venue because the crowd support is phenomenal! Lake Placid wins for best locale, hands down, along with the toughest course, physically. Florida just stinks, skip it!

Other than the Ironman distance, I've competed in countless sprint and olympic distance races, and 3 half-iron distance races.

Outside of triathlon racing, I just got hooked on the Ragnar Relay series, which are 12 person runs that cover around 180 miles in a 2 day period. I've done the Del Sol in Arizona and Wasatch Back in Utah. Talk about fun!
