So in 2004 I was diagnosed with Bradycardia (slow heart rate). I had to have a pacemaker installed to keep my heart beating. So I stopped competing in all running events/races in 2000! So in 2007 after a long layoff, I made a decision to try and complete one triathlon. Which I had never tried before. It was great and now I'm hooked! There is a little about me....See yah out on the roads!!!!

Todays training: is just cardio.....1 hr run 8 1/2 miles...around 7:30 pace. Day off from weights (recovery)!

Hey Billy! It was kind of tough. The swim was fairly easy, I came out strong. The bike was good, too. I got into a zone on the first lap and ended up following a guy around the turn to go to the transition, realized my mistake and turned around. The run absolutely killed me. My knee started to hurt really bad around mile 3/4 and then I started to get gnarly blisters on my feet from my shoes. I didn't get lost though! Haha Anyways, I'll be getting new shoes this week and I'm getting my knee checked out tomorrow. So hopefully I'll be ready to dominate in SD.

hi Billy, How is the Riverside Tri team going? I've ridden the Saturday rides from Riverside to Redlands ...several times with the Riverside group. What a nice ride - like the 40 mile distance for training.

Todays training: Swim 4x200 meters wram up! 2 sets of 300, 200, 100 plus cool down 8x50! Bike 10 min warm up, 5x20 sec burt of 100%, 6 sets of 4 min burst 85-90% max with 1 min recovery, 10 min cool down! Weights squats, leg extentions, legs curls, 5 set ea 15 reps, finish with abs with 45lbs weight 4 sets 15 reps.

Todays training: Weights....(shoulders & calves) 4 diffrent exercises for each body part (8 seperate exercises), 4 sets of 15 reps per. Finish with 4 set of abs (with a 45lbs weight). 25mile bike ride 80% of max...95 rpms. Finish with 8 mile run 80% of max.... 7:30 per mile pace!!!

Todays training: 2000 meters 80% race pace 45 mins. Weights....back and triceps. Back 4 diffrent exercises of 4 set ea. Same for the Triceps....finished with 4 sets of abs with 45lbs.

Todays training: Weights....chest and biceps! 4 exercises for the chest 4 sets ea. 15 reps a set. Same for the biceps 4 diffrent exercises at 15 reps a set. On the bike for 1hr... 22 miles at 115 rpms and running for 6.2 miles at 90 % max...on pace for 40:42 mins....cool down and finish with 4 sets of abs.....20 reps with 45lbs of weight added!
