Like many other athletes I race because I want to continue to improve myself and test my limits. I strive to stretch those limits each time I compete and I believe that the successes and lessons learned in competition and training strengthen my body and character.

Hey Eric, how's it goin man? Nice post, by the way, lol. Unfortunately, if you didn't notice, I've taken down my upcoming races for the fall because I'm headed out on a short notice deployment. I'll be back full speed next year though, doing the Rock n Roll Marathon in Tempe. Haven't decided on the half or the full yet, though. Let me know if you're planning on doing it. Train hard!

Yeah, I love riding the bike, and the running's not so tough for me, so I figured if I can get my swimming up I'd try the half. I finished my first Olympic last weekend, so another 500m and I've got the Half distance down. You're doing Nathan this year right? I've got a few friends doing that one, so I might head up there to volunteer. Let me know, I'll keep an eye out for ya

Thanks, Eric. How's the training going ? I'll see you for sure in Tempe. I've been back for a couple of weeks and start training full time on 7/1. ( 2 a day's) You look fit in the picture posted. Hey man, thanks for the message. Looks like you got a pretty good time at Tempe. Congrats. It was a long race for me (dehydration and cramps on the run). Keep up the training and maybe I'll catch you at a race here in AZ sometime soon!

Not rivals, bra . (45-49) I just came back from a bike accident that took me out for 7 weeks so you will not se me until September in Tempe.
You better train hard and come in fit for the race. You know why----Cause your're gong down, Man.

30 miles on the bike saturday. Missed my run sunday for wakeboarding. Back in the pool today. Have to stay training hard cause this jones kid is coming up fast. Can't have the dude being better than me in just one season. Motivation

Rode the bike for 1:15, supposeed to do long hills. Unfortunately nothing in yuma qualifies as a long hill. PM worked on abs, shoulders and calves in the gym. Still working on the diet, trying some new supplements.

Finished my book over the weekend. Ultramarathon man by Dean Karnazus. Good read, entertaining and inspiring. Not planning to start training like "karno", but definitely going to step it up.
