"Gotta Run!" is my Motto! Has anyone ever asked you if you had a running Mantra? Well, I do that is I've Gotta Run. I want to run a faster 5k in November and December. I am planning to run only the half at Route 66.I love to run everyday and I love to run in races. What go me started running: My mom passed away in 1988, She was my best friend, she always encouraged me to be best and to be a healthy runner. She really wanted me to enjoy every sport that I tried.I joined a swim team but as a military brat we had moved across the Country.It was much easier to carry running shoes than a swimming pool. Summer 88 Olympics was a memory of good times for me. It was that hot summer,I started to run for pleasure. I ran 14 miles non stop and loved it!I like sharing my running stories to young runners. I feel blessed to have my Dad to encourage me to run. We talk about how we would chase each other around the house when i was young. Dad would tell me I was so fast. Today, Dad suffers from Diabetes. I tell Dad that he is my Champion! One day in 1977 an elementary coach told me that I was fat, dark, and slow to be a runner. That message changed me for life.Today, I am thankful and am proof it does not matter what color you are or how you look to be a runner.I have been running for over 23 Years. I Thank God, Dad, Mom,Steve, Edmond Running Club & Oklahoma City running club. I loved being the 2006 President of ERC. I love to race. My good friends,Bob Barry Jr.(KFOR TV) David W.,Kevin L. Maurice L.,Evelyn R. & Marcia R. Tip: Always be ready, make goal for a run/a different unique goal for each race.This year so far I have ran in 23 certified road races. 1.I Run everyday to Honor God. 2.I Run everyday in Memory of my Mom. 3.I Run to show respect. My Dad a Vietnam Veteran.

Thanks......i have been gone for awhile so i got to back into shape. I ran the MUDD run in tulsa about a month ago. its was fun.

I see several planned races shortly coming up. I wish for you the very best in each of them. You are a precious friend and an inspiration to me. One of these days, our paths will cross and we will run together (Spirit of Survival).

I loved reading your story. You are an inspiration to me and others that run. Being a Veteran, I certainly commend your supporting your father and those that gave their lives so you and I could participate in a sport we both enjoy. I hope to get back on the competitive trail soon!

3 hour workout, crunches 200, jumping jacks 200, at the indoor gym, ugh! push ups 50, & 1 hour run, (lunch) chicken noodle soup, ran another 45 minutes of fast sprints. Good day
