This was a "A" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 5 out of 5.
Race Notes: First 70.3 - had a good day ! it was a fun weekend with Rich who did great. We kept smiling and enjoying the moment. What a unique effort and experience to complete a 70.3. I was aiming for 5:22 and did 4:54 with a top AG on the bike with 22.3mph and a 1;41 run at 7:44 ave pace. It all clicked and it leaves you with the strong sense of accomplishment and envy to move on to the next one. Note for next year: make sure to stay overnight after the race and to take a shower after the race, unless you can take a bird bath like Rich in an airport bathroom....please turn on the vents to get the air circulating throughouit the cabin...

This was a "B" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 1 out of 5.
Race Notes: Bad swim #2 after nationals, the drafting on the bike with limited space to pass and the jetlag means I had a bad day but I can't complain as the experience was absolutely fantastic and seeing Sue finish 7th in the World was amazing. Got to go in Olympic distance next year in Budapest. wonderful vacation in Noosa and surrounding area, people and place is magic.

This was a "A" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 1 out of 5.
Race Notes: missed the rendez-vous again. had the worst swim ever in 42min! upstream , no juice and the rest was OK but painful. Lost motivation and will to push as hard as I could. I am now dependent on a roll down slot for Worlds in Budapest. I need to figure a way to nail this one next year. Painful experence but it was all worth it when I got to see Sue on the podium for 8th in her age group - She rocks!

This was a "A" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 4 out of 5.
Race Notes: One of my annual objectives was to qualify for Wolrds - it done! With only 12 spots, it was close especially as it turned out to be a duathlon but the bike and run were strong on a windy day. great feeling to sign up with Sue for the USA team slot for Worlds in Australia.

This was a "B" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 4 out of 5.
Race Notes: good swim, better than last year, very strong bike on the flat with the #1 spot overall and an improved run. Overall a well rounded race, missed the #3 overall spot by only a few seconds. feels good to be up there although competition was not all that great. Fun race to do, easy workout and close enough to be painless. Got to do top 3 next year overall!

This was a "A" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 2 out of 5.
Race Notes: improved race but still a major struggle on the run. Did not push the bike hard enough and saw no improvement in the swim. Shave 10min off last year and placed well in AG but failed to reach my 2:30 objective. Will have to work a lot harder to get to sub 2:30 next year by shaving another 7min. still a great day, had lots of fun with Sue, Rich and Stacy who all did well. One of my favorites!!!

This was a "B" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 4 out of 5.
Race Notes: Thank you Nate!! I tried to follow the speedy youngster and he paced me for the first 5 miles, I took off on th ehills in the last 3 miles and had a blast of a day. Gave me confidence I could actually run faster than 8min miles. Beating 7min miles over 10km is a milestone. Mellow Yellow is in gear....

This was a "C" Race for me.
I rated my performance a 3 out of 5.
Race Notes: steady pace - level effort - kept all 3 events under control with a 2:07 result. Lots of fast Dudes out there right at 2:00 ! fast ride in 1:00 (24mph) and good run in 42 (7' pace), steady swim (20:30') without getting tired - more importantly - NO MECHANICALS or HEALTH issues. Great time with the friends and family, fun way to kick off the season before Wildflower. Thanks to Leroy and Marty for building that endurance.
