I've been running track and cross country since junior high school. In high school, I had the honor of participating on one state championship cross country team and two state championship track and field teams. Individually, I have two track and field state titles, and I finished tenth overall (out of many) in the state cross country championships. When I was in college, I ditched running in favor of cycling. Some years later, I switched full time to mountain biking. During my early 30's, my wife gave birth to our first baby boy. I felt blessed, but I also gained a ton of weight. I weighed 220 lbs! So after a few years of letting myself go, I picked up running again. Over a period of a year or so, I went back down to my desired weight (165 lbs.) and I'm running quite strong and fast. I still remain competitive and enjoy doing anything from a 5K to a Half Marathon.
