On Sunday March 1st 2009 on Lloyd's Harbor, Long Island, New York I finished 3rd at the USA 50k National Championships in 3:46:30. This was my first competitive ultra marathon and first 50k. When I started running in the fall of 1997 I was a 34 minute 5k runner. I would get last everywhere but I would never walk, people that were walking could beat me. Through the years I have continued to work hard, have had my ups and downs and as I said in my first sentence I have worked my way up to 3rd in the nation in the 50k. I have struggled with a numerous things medically you can ask me about.

Sunday I finished 3rd in the USA 50k National Championship in Lloyd Harbor, Long Island, New York at Caumsett park. My time was 3:46:30.
