Carl Unger

I grew up playing golf and hockey in high school. Played 2 years of junior 'B' hockey while attending NDSU. I tore my inner miniscus, so I took some time off sports (12 years). I did enjoy golf as much as possible, though.

I really started running in Dec. '06 and did my first marathon (Grandmas) in June '06 and my 2nd(New York) in Nov. '06. I soon learned to love running and some friends turned me on to triathlon. I bought my first bike in Jan. '07 and started on the trainer. I took some swim lessons in Feb '07 not knowing much of how to swim. Did my first triathlon (Wildflower-olympic) in May '07. Hooked on triathlon! I'm doing my 1st ironman distance (AZ) in November '08.
