How should Josh Polk apply this? Lets take your swim routine.
(1) Is it writen down, are you executing acording to the plan.
(2) When your not training, are you studying technique via books, video, internet or observing others
(3) Have you nailed nutrition so you eat the perfect pre and post workout food that you believe adds the most value to your swim workout
Make it a habit to enter the pool full of enery (from nutrition), ready to build on that last workout (from routine) and visually executing the image you have (from study).

New Years Goal - Finish our first ½ Ironman distance race [Wildflower 5/2] and train like we mean it so we shatter any expectations that we had going into the race. After that, get out and enjoy the outdoors this summer and explore other cities and events where we are that unkown age grouper who shows up and steals the top 3 slot. In summary, enjoy racing and just participating in Triathlete lifestyle in 2009!
