At the age of 8 in a boarding school we were made to get up at 5.30 and run for 30mins. I hated then, I cried, whined but it was a rule that could not be broken. This paid off in high school with a 5k in 17m 20s (that was the fastest ever i had run). I then lost my way through college..smoking and drinking. The adipose level was at a stunnig 195lbs for a 169cm human. Then it snapped..i woke up one morning decided to quit smoking and run. That was 4 years ago. Now i call my self an OCR. (obsessive compulsive runner).

FINISHED MY FIRST MARATHON!!!
I did not have to crawl..but the distance almost made me cry at around the the 22 mile mark. The places your mind visits during the run cannot be described, it has to be experienced and this is what is going to make me do the next one :)

Ran a 16miler today. The last long run before the first marathon.
Very sore after the run...cannot imagine whats going to happen after the 26 miler...i will complete it for sure..either by running or crawling :)
