I started my journey into Triathlons after going on a massive undertaking. I went from 430 pounds in 2006, to my athletic 165 pounds. It was alot of hard work, and to reward myself I started to enter local 5Ks and moved up to Triathlons in 2007.

Not to your extent but I did the same for my family (2 little girls and 1 son).  I went from 330 to 217 (but now am 250 but going down again.  I don't know about you but for me losing the weight was easier than keeping it off. Again great job. Original Message: Original Message: Wow to go from 430 to 165 is an amazing accomplishment Greg.  Keep up the great work. Dan Thanks, it was alot of hard work, but for the sake of my family ( 2 little girls ) it was definitely worth it

Hey Gregory: Your profile is beyond compelling, man.  You have accomplished a miracle!  What an inspiring story.  Welcome to triathlon.  I took it up 7 years ago at the age of 46.  I was a slightly overweight couch potato, and in 7 years I've done over 40 tri's, 7 marathons, and lots in between.  Keep up the great work.  I hope to see you in a race sometime. Congratulations, and best regards, Mike Fogassey
