Starting running at 13 years old because I wanted to see how fast I could run a mile. I Ran Track and Cross Country in High School my 9/10th grade year. In 10th grade (14-15yrs old) I ran the mile in 4:59 and the 2 mile in 10:42. My Cross Country 5k PR during that yr 95' was 16:24. Towards the end of track session 95' I got a stress fracture and didn't run my 11/12th grade yr and went to a private school that didn't have a Track/ Cross Country program. It's a shame because I'm sure I would've gotten my times down low enough by my senior year to get a scholarship in Cross Country. Shortly after high school I joined the Marine Corps from 1998-2002 where I was stationed in Hawaii and deployed to Okinawa, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. I still ran obviously during this time but never got seriously into it. Following the Marines I came back to Central Florida to go to School and Work. Well, here I am in the year 2008 at 29 years old that I finally have a staple job and environment that allows me to focus more on running. My goal in the next few years is to see what I’m truly capable of in the sport of running. My short term goal is to work up to 60-80 MPW that implements intervals, hill repeats and tempo runs to peak during next years Track Shack Grand Prix Series.
