In 1996 my good friend and nordic ski buddy Bruce Griffen roped me into Bally's Lake Pleasant. Water was freezy, no wet suit, bluddy hot June run and I was hooked, and have not looked back since.
In 2000 my brother in law informed that his friend Andrew had just completed Ironman Canada. That lit a fire under my butt and I decided from that point I had no execuses for pursueing my goals.
I sign up on lottery for IM Canada, and began traning.I personally changed that year both mentally and physically and I have never quite been the same since.
In 2001 when I completed my first Ironman, I had never swam, biked or run as far on any independent training day. I thought a good energy drink was endurux and gaterade mixed together. I had some tummy trouble to say the least.
After 4 Attempts I qualified for Kona in 2004 and I am still Married.
My love and thanks to my wife Sue, my girls Hannah and Samnatha, my family and friends.
See you out on the coarse-
