Ran the 13.1 Fort Lauderdale Half today, great race... wouldn't have changed anything about it. My mileage has dropped off a lot in the last few months, and a cold kept me off the road altogether for the last two weeks. Still, I was able to run a time that I was very happy with. I ran a 1:46:24 (4 min. PR), with a solid negative split. I was probably a bit conservative in the first half, my last mile was 7:15. Maybe a 1:40:00 is achievable in January if I can get back to 40-50 MPW.

Thanks! I hope I can get my 5k's down after the marathon, I will start focusing on speed again. I also want to concentrate on the 1/2 marathon. I have been doing about 55-60+ miles a week, Sunday I have to run 24............fun times. :) Glad you are back at it, it will start to cool down now which will help alot!

Looking to do Space Coast Half, Disney Half and Hooters Half. No Marathons this year. Knees are givving me issues. Setting goals as PR's in 5k and Half. What is your plan??

I was in San Francisco last week and got a few good runs in. Ran from Union Square to Fisherman's Wharf, Giants Stadium, Coit Tower. Nob Hill was killer. Also did some hiking in Muir Woods.
4 miles easy today after a couple of hours of basketball this morning
Updated my race calendar. I'm not sure if I'll make all of them, but that's the plan right now! :)

First run back today. I ran an easy 5 miles. All of the running parts felt good, but the sun gave me a headache. Hopefully this is the start of another 6 months of good running!

It was a pretty hectic week for running...
Mon - 5 mi. Tue/Wed - Off due to work/obligations Thurs - Ran 3 mi. at the gym due to weather; the weather cleared up while I was on the treadmill, so I left the gym and did 3 more outside Fri - Doubles to make up a little mileage (4 in the morning, 7 at night) Sat - I ran 3 mi. and was completely worn out for some reason Sun - 10 mi.

7 miles today... 37 miles for the week. I was shooting for a little more mileage, but I missed Friday's run. July is going to be a busy month at work, but I have to find a way to keep my mileage around 40 MPW. If I can make it through July, the rest of the year should be smooth! :)
