Consider the plausibility that if you train in the heat you will. Personally, it was my best race as far as how I felt. Just disappointed that I slowed between mile 9 and 10 as I was ahead of my goal...then I turned the corner and saw that 1.3 mile 75 foot vertical elevation (bridge) that was an unexpected and not well-received which, in combination with slowing down, cost me some time and my goal of being under 1:45. Maybe this is why one should walk/drive the course before running it. We are going to have a great year!!!
