I started running regularly again when I turned 40 in 2001. I never considered myself a distance runner. I joined the Abilene Runners Club in 2003 and started learning how to run longer. With the help of a good training plan and running partners I have run further than I ever thought possible.I completed my 6th marathon in Boston (4/20/09) and have run countless shorter races.

Ran 3 miles at 7:30/mi pace. Pain was more annoying than a real problem. It was work but I felt good diving in the pool with my dog when I finished.

I just registered for the Dublin Dr. Pepper 10k. I will need to take it easy which will be very difficult for me. But I intend to have fun!

Can't wait to start running again. Working off the soreness from Boston. I kept to my plan and ran a 3:29:38!

Ran 4.5 miles this morning at Redbud. Nice weather. Tried to keep the same pace I want to run at Cowtown Half Marathon.

Nine miles yesterday in a 30 - 40 mph wind was harder than 19 miles today with the temperature in the 20's. I feel good!
