I started running a little in college to help keep off the weight. I love to compete so I entered the Spokane half marathon my first year out of school and loved it. I have been loving doing tri's for the last couple of years as well as running races. I did my first Ironman and Xterra events this week. All I have to say is Ironman is a good challenge but Xterra was a much more enjoyable and testing event.

WDYDT for Monday, November 9, 2009
Jogged on the treadmill at work (tis the season) for a quick 30 min workout. Finished the last 10 min with 5 min at 9mph 2% incline. Then 1 min at 8.5 and then finished it our with 10mph at 5% followed by a 4 min cool down walk.

Quick trip to the pool. Was aiming for 30 min but the clock was broke and I didn't realized it until about 15 min in. Still got in close to 30 with the last 500m decreasing breathing per lap and speeding up every 50. Felt pretty good.

No training makes me slow! My swim was pretty bad but it was freaking cold (to me) and I kept getting into the shallow water. Slow run to.

Such a fun race I can't wait to do it again next year. Burrr the water was cold and I took it easy because of Ironman but I won't have that problem next year!
