You can find my greatest values not in my athleticism, but in my personality, my love for running, and my dedication to the world of endurance sports. I always arrive early to races to soak up the atmosphere, and to spread excitement to everyone in the event, from the Age Groupers to the Elites. I am the athlete who cheers on competitors as they run by and offer words of support to the people I pass. As a personal trainer, I whole-heartedly believe that part of my professional duty is to help ALL athletes who train for ALL sporting events, regardless of skill level. In addition, I believe that running and multisport are ways of life, not just something to pass time.
I have been a runner for almost 20 years, and a triathlete for 4 seasons so far. Over the past two years, my dedication to triathlon, and in particular, a concentration in long distance running, has brought me much success and visibility among my peers.
I have been able to win 2 races in 2008, both 50K distance, and have been a prominent athlete in my age group in other running distances as well. I have finished in the top 10% in most of my running races this year.
I am looking forward to a big 2009, where I'll tackle my longest distance yet, the 100 mile ultramarathon. 16 days later, I will run the Boston Marathon for yet another first time experience.
