In January 2008, my wife encouraged me to take running more seriously and to run the OKC Memorial half. Now she regrets it. She didn't realize that I would pay $20 most weekends to put a bib on my chest.

Enjoyed the Chill Your Cheeks in Yukon Saturday. They usually have some good prizes. This year they had attractive coasters (a snowman sweating ice cubes).
Going to Yukon is a lot easier than going to Tulsa to run.

I ran in the Halloween Run from Addictions at Regatta Park. I was beaten by a girl dressed up as Batwoman. Her flapping cape seemed to be mocking me.

The LoganPalooza in Guthrie was fun. Everybody was very friendly. They had some very artsy trophies.
The police escort was late, so they went ahead and started the race. Then after about 8 minutes, he comes wizzing and weaving through all the runners. That probably wasn't really the idea.

I am running in the first Swazi 5K in Bethany tomorrow. The fight against breast cancer is important, but missionary efforts in Swaziland are also important. So I chose the Swazi run over the Race for the Cure. Additionally, it will be a whole lot easi...er to find a parking place. You may have heard that the Race for Cure is dubbed "Race for the Parking Place."

I enjoyed the Fall Classic Trail Run in Denison. It was my first trail run. It was really different than a road race. It felt more like an obstacle course. Plus, you had to run single file for a lot of it. I ran 29:10. But I thought it was fun because I couldn't tell what was coming up until I was almost there. One embankment was so steep I thought I was going to have to use my hands to get up it.
