I ran cross country two years in high school and two years in college but now that I've graduated i am doing a variety of workouts. I recently did my first sprint triathlon and i'm hooked! Other interests include rock climbing and wakeboarding

Had my 2nd swimming lesson today. It went well - we swam 800m today which was definitely farther than before (plus we were swimming against the current). Heather says my stroke is definitely improving and I notice i don't get fatigued as quickly :) Will try to go for a short run later today.

Hi! Finally logged back in. Still not in the habit of checking. Running is going pretty well. Ran 6 miles in Garden of the Gods last weekend-gorgeous but super hilly! This weekend my long runs go into double digits-oh joy!

You would like the Pilates boot camp. It moves fast. I did pretty well training in Annapolis. Did a mini-brick workout on Wed-my legs were jello. Love their humidity!

Just trying to get back into shape, drop some this excess around my midsection and you know me, I am always on a quest for bigger muscles and better definition. However, I am sure you know as well as I, eating better is the biggest part of that and that is what I really need to work on the most. But I like eating.....and not necessarily good stuff. :-)

yea i still need to figure this out. Dad signed me up and I got an email with my info really confused lol. Summer is good. We painted my room this week and next week I'm going house boating in Lake Powell with a friend and her family. What have you and Ryan been up to?

Crossfit at mikes including ~20mins of running with a weight vest. It was so hot! I tried to swim in the afternoon but the pool was closed due to lightning. Was going to try again in the evening but we were looking at a house on the river :)

biked to and from the pool (7-8mi)
Pool workout: used paddles and a pull buoy for an arm workout today, very interesting. Seemed to help me keep my wrists at the right angles and focus on the technique of my stroke. 4x200m with paddles then 50m cool down freestyle.

Crazy day... started off with 2hrs of mowing and yard work. Helped ryan take the seats out of the van and load some plywood which was a workout all by itself.
Biked 7.5mi to mike's house, hour long crossfit (knees to elbows, sit ups, push press, L-sit, dips, push ups)
Biked 6mi to pool, 500m workout
Biked 4mi home

Also went climbing today, I have lost a lot of top rope endurance since we have been bouldering so much lately. Hope to get back into top rope more and complete a 5.11 route. I also need to do some lead routes now that we are certified...but we need a rope...and i'm nervous about it since we haven't done it since we got certified...

It has been a while now since i have been training. I was sick for about a week and a half and then spent about a week just recovering (plus i was working a lot of overtime at work). But it's finally time to start training for our next triathlon. I had my first swim lesson today with a swim coach in Vero. It went well, she is really nice and we swam in the ocean instead of a pool so that was cool. She swam alongside me and gave tips on how to correct my stroke and improve my endurance.

2mi time trial, unfortunately it was not nearly as fast as i was hoping for...17:24. That means i only ran about 18s/mi faster than my "easy" pace on mon/weds. I think i will repeat the 2mi time trial every two weeks. Also, I had to modify my run while running because it was longer than expected...i will plan a better route next time.
