Just ran the Monumental Marathon in Indianapolis yesterday. Finished in 3:09:04. I tried to go faster, but faded a little at the end. Overall I am pleased with the result - I ran the Chicago marathon 20 days beforehand.

3.5 mile recovery run today, the first run since Chicago. I am jealous of the great weather this weekend! It was too hot last weekend in Chicago. I am not sure if I am a big fan of the "mega" marathons, but I am running Boston next spring. That will be my first marathon I have done more than once.

Travelled back home from Chicago. Rough marathon, 3:26, my slowest road marathon (out of 6). Temps climbed into the 80's by the finish. I had goosebumps before the halfway point (dehydration) so I knew something was wrong.

Ran 6 miles. Ran the "middle" @ 6:27, 6:15, 6:14. Overall pace 7:07. Really looking forward to running Chicago Marathon in less than 3 weeks.
