John, I am so thrilled for you - a SILVER medal in those wretched conditions.  You made us proud!! Good job.   I had a number of friends competing in the Sprint distance on Friday and I was watching on line Saturday morning the start of the OLY age group event until I had to go and do my own workout.   I am going to go and check right now and see how Sheila Isaacs in the 70+ Women's category did.  Were you able to connect with her? I cannot believe how incredibly cold that water must have been followed by a cold wind onthe bike.  I had hypothermia 3 weeks ago out on a long ride up to Simcoe in frigid rain and wind. Yesterday I had my first race of the season at Lakeside and you may have heard that the humidity down here was in the high 30C+ range....what bizarre weather we have had. Safe travels back to Ontario.  what is up for rest of season?   Are you going to Peterborough first weekend of July?  I will be there doing the long course if you are around - given it is in your backyard. GOOD GIRL!!!!   you are totally inspiring me and my ego and my competitive self is telling me that I have to do this race with you guys.   This is outstanding news.  A fabulous goal to focus on this season.    This is a freshwater swim is it not vs. ocean?  I might have a chance that way :)O
